ABOUT COLIN C.

Colin C.

The Cell Studio was founded by Colin Cameron Allrich (aka Colin C.) as a creative environment for his multifaceted work within the music industry. Conceptualized during the 2000s in Mid City, Los Angeles, Colin remixed and produced Electronic Music for various DJ labels (Lost Language, Thrive/Renaissance, Cyber Recordings, System Recordings) while also working for Apple as a certified Logic Pro trainer. His skillset grew to include mixing, audio engineering, and sound design, working with clients and peers in various musical genres in LA and across the globe.

His expertise in audio technology has been tapped by everyone from Danny Saber (Black Grape, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Madonna) to LA’s “Rave Godfather” DJ Thee-O, to Indie Pop band Languis (Plug Research), and Spider Problem (Comedy Central, People's Choice Awards). A prolific remixer under his 'Slighter' moniker, Colin has remixed artists such as Front Line Assembly, Battle Tapes, Trash Diety (My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult side project) and many more. His compositional work is synonymous with television soundtracks, with music placed on CBS, FOX, NBC/Universal, Showtime, HBO, and also Lionsgate Films. These works are released under his own Confusion Inc. record label and music publishing company Negative Feedback Ltd.

Colin connected with Loopmasters in 2012 developing an “Essential” line of products for Logic Pro users. These products became some of Loopmasters best selling and top rated releases, receiving accolades from established music producers and popular music production magazines. From there, he created a best selling line of sample packs aptly named "Dark Atmospherics", which spanned three volumes of immersive sound content. In 2016, he worked with CAPSUN ProAudio on sound design products and synth presets, including a top selling "Crystal Complex" pack. Colin has also created sample content for RV Sound Packs, Soundtrack Loops, and Black Octopus Sound. Colin is also endorsed by innovative plugin and sound design company Glitchmachines, sharing company with Richard Devine, Amon Tobin, and The Glitch Mob.
