Colin Cameron Allrich
The Cell Studio was founded by Colin Cameron Allrich (aka Colin C.) as a creative space for his multifaceted work within the music industry. Its earliest incarnation was in a spare bedroom in his West Los Angeles apartment over 10 years ago. From there Colin built a reputation for himself through both his audio engineering skills and his compositional/remix capabilities in Los Angeles. Operating effortlessly within various genres, his expertise has been tapped by everyone from LA’s “Rave Godfather” DJ Thee-O to Indie Pop band, Languis, to Industrial legends, Front Line Assembly and 16Volt. His compositional work is synonymous with television soundtracks, though music placements on Showtime, HBO, FOX, NBC/Universal, MTV & more.
A certified Logic Pro trainer with over 6 years experience of employment with Apple, Colin began working with Loopmasters in 2012 developing an “Essential” line of products for Logic Pro users. These products became some of Loopmasters best selling and top rated releases, receiving accolades from both established and novice music producers. He has also branched out into collaborations with CAPSUN ProAudio, his “Crystal Complex” presets have become one of their best selling products.
In 2015, The Cell Studio found a permanent home in the lush Pacific Northwest. The studio’s new location was designed and built from the ground up, allowing for Colin to continue his work in his own new dedicated facility.
John is a long time collaborator at The Cell Studio, first through the bands Languis, Spider Problem, Non Ultra Joy, Aberdeen, and later with his own solo work as The Legendary House Cats and their band Horrorfall. A Southern California native, John lives and works in Los Angeles.His production work has included the bands Western Lows, Tennis System, Paper Pilots, plus his personal favorites The City & Horses, and Chris McRitchie. Remix work includes rock and roll legends The Who, and Los Angeles garage rockers The Mo-Odds. Live recording work includes Peter Murphy, Quadra, Steve Jones, Dido, The June Brides, Donovan, Iron & Wine, and more. John also has session musicians credits for Trembling Blue Stars, Tracy Shedd, and William Tell.John’s music has been licensed to many outlets over the years, some highlights include, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, Californication, People’s Choice Awards, Quicksilver/Roxy, Mountain Dew/Burton Snowboard’s and more.
